5:30am Coffee: Enjoy hot
coffee, feed and water the horses, take down the tents, and pack gear.
6:30am Breakfast: A delicious hot breakfast will be served.
Remember to pick up your sack lunch.
8:00am Departure: Today’s ride will be 17 miles long reaching an
altitude over 9,000 feet. The trail will pass through some timber and into the
big open country with large vistas demonstrating the big skies and expanses of
Wyoming. During this segment you will arrive at the cross roads, humorously
named, Hollywood and Vine. It became a landmark used by all the cattlemen and
sheepmen living in the area. A longer lunch break will allow you to enjoy the
spectacular view from the higher elevations and relax. Tuesday evening’s camp is
at “Sioux Pass.” Named from the Sioux Nation’s use of the route to travel from
the “Wind River Basin” into the “Big Horn Basin.” Upon arrival in camp, tend to
your horse, set up tents, and prepare for supper.
6:30pm Supper
7:30pm Evening Entertainment: Campfire entertainment, relaxation,
refreshments, and socializing with fellow riders. Again, please greet and thank
the landowner hosts Bill and Pat Spratt.
