Baggage pick up from motels.
5:30am Gather at the fairgrounds: Prepare luggage and gear for
transportation. Feed and water the horses and have them ready to transport to
the trailhead.
6:30am Breakfast: Breakfast will be served at the high school
cafeteria.
7:30am Depart from Thermopolis
10:30am Arrive at the trailhead: Saddle the horses and prepare for
the first afternoon of riding.
11:00am Hot Lunch: Prepared by our Trail Ride caterer.
12:00pm Depart for Hole-in-the-Wall: Groups will be formed for the
12 mile ride to the first camp site. During this portion of the ride one will
see teepee rings and a historical monument generously donated by Clay Gibbons
and the Outlaw Trail Ride Committee. Be sure to watch for wildlife and don’t
forget to enjoy the spectacular scenery hidden in the wilds of Wyoming. Upon
arrival in camp, tend to your horse, set up tents and prepare for supper.
6:30pm Supper
7:30pm Evening entertainment: Prepare yourself for an unparalleled
evening of fun and entertainment. The refreshment van will be available for cold
drinks. There will be a historical talk by Clay Gibbons about the
Hole-in-the-Wall country and other events of the past as well. Please greet and
thank the landowner hosts Gene and Sammy Vieh of the Willow Creek Ranch.
